The evaluation of urban furniture of Çankırı Necmettin Erbakan Park in terms of landscape architecture

Parks are an important component of the urban green open space system. In addition to providing many direct and indirect positive contributions to the people living in the city, it significantly affects the urban aesthetics and green identity of the city. The urban equipment elements used in the park have a great impact on this situation. Necmettin Erbakan Park, which was chosen as the study area, is located in Çankırı province. The urban reinforcement elements of the park were evaluated for the first time in terms of landscape architecture. Necmettin Erbakan Park was visited at different times and urban equipment elements were examined in detail through observation and identification. As a result of the study, 85 seating units, 50 garbage and recycling bins, 13 security cameras, 10 picnic tables, 11 camellias and 2 water features (fountains) were determined in Necmettin Erbakan Park. On the other hand, Necmettin Erbakan Park's location, ease of transportation, existing parking lot and various positive and negative features were evaluated. Although the park has many positive features in terms of both its size and equipment, the negative features include neglected water passages, deficiencies in children's playgrounds, and damage to some seating units and floor coverings. Considering the results, it was concluded that Necmettin Erbakan Park is an important park that can appeal to different income levels and age groups.
