Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to determine the reflection of changing and transforming childhood in secondary school Turkish textbooks. A literature review was conducted to determine the differences between the history of the concept of "childhood" and its current state. Factors affecting the disappearance process of known childhood are generally examined under five categorıes. It has been observed that changes in family structure, more technology in our lives, wars, economic conditions and the effects of urban life are accelerating the disappearance of known childhood. In the light of the information obtained, a list of criteria was developed by getting the expert opinion. 2019-2020 academic year secondary school Turkish textbooks were analyzed using this list, and document review method was used.
