Abstract (EN)

The life of Prophet has been centre of attention in every period. As a result, the literature that provides information about his life has emerged over time. One of them is maghāzī literature on the history of Prophet's ghazwas and sariyyahs. In addition to maghāzī literature, the science of hadith, which aims to determine advice and manners from Prophet and help pass down soundly, offers materials in this field. There are many hadith books written for this purpose. Nasāī's Sunan is one of the six books known as al-Kutub al-Sitte. Al-Sunan is ahkām centered hadith book written carefully including only sahih hadiths. So, it is obvious that it conveys information witnessing to every moment of Prophet's life, discourse and manners, although it doesn't aim to give historicâl information. In this respect, in this study maghāzī riwāyas were determined and this information was analyzed by comparing it to the works of early authors such as İbn Shihāb al-Zuhrī (d.124/742), Musa b. Uqba (d.141/758), Wāqıdī (d.207/823) and Ibn Hishām (d. 218/833). As a result of this determination and comparison, it was aimed to show value of al-Sunan in terms of maghāzī riwāyas. In the end of the research, it was seen al-Sunan has a significant amount of maghāzī information. The fact that three hundred nine riwāyas offer information about eighteen ghazwa and nine sariyyahs proves it. As a result of the analysis, on both literature is mostly identical, little information differs or there is information that doesn't exist in Nasāī's other maghāzī books.
