Abstract (EN)

In this study, Nietzsche's criticisms of morality are analyzed. For this, the analysis is divided into two parts. At the beginning of the first part of the analysis, the scope of the morality criticized by Nietzsche was tried to be revealed. As a result of this examination, it was seen that he criticized not all morality, but basically the European morality of his own time. Since this morality is rooted in the Socratic-Platonic moral tradition, the rest of the chapter focuses on Nietzsche's criticism of the Socratic-Platonic moral tradition. For this purpose, first the Tragic age and its end with Socrates are discussed, and then the criticisms against the tradition are analyzed. As a result of this examination, it was concluded that he criticized the aforementioned tradition in basically three ways: The fact that it is based on reason and suppresses instincts, that it sees truth as the highest value instead of life, and that it is otherworldly. In the last part of the chapter, Nietzsche's criticism of Christianity is discussed as a transition to the analysis in the second part. In the second part of the study, Nietzsche's main criticisms of Christian morality and the secular moral theories of his time are analyzed. In the first part of the chapter, it is tried to be shown in detail that Nietzsche criticizes the existing morality with the method of genealogical genealogy because of its emergence through a contingent and problematic process. In this part, some discussions about Nietzsche's genealogical method are also mentioned. In the other parts of the chapter, it is tried to show that he criticizes the theories mentioned in terms of adopting problematic values such as pity, altruism, equality, etc., seeing themselves as universal and ahistorical, preventing the development of the strong man, being against life and nature, and leading to nihilism.
