Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to compare how Immanuel Kant and Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche, who are considered to be a turning point in the history of philosophy, addressed and examined the concept of morality and the quality of being moral in their philosophical thought systems, and to evaluate how Nietzsche criticized Kant in his moral philosophy. As the philosopher of the 18th century Enlightenment, Kant dominated the philosophy of the following century and elevated German idealism with his philosophical system in which he placed the concept of "reason" at its center. As of the 19th century, Nietzsche evaluated a system of thought in which reason was at its center as a matter of debate and argued that what should be centered in every field is not reason but the "will to power". In historical perspective, the most important reason that made Kant open to criticism from Nietzsche's perspective was Kant's philosophy, which he thought was created to protect the values of Socratic culture. Based on this, Nietzsche argued that all values should be re evaluated. Here, the values that Nietzsche particularly wanted to be destroyed were the values of the philosophical tradition that emerged with Socratic culture and were supported in terms of faith by the Christian tradition, and they eventually became identical with Kant. In this context, instead of confronting the philosophical tradition that has been going on since Socrates and challenging the entire Western metaphysics, he simply targeted Kant's philosophy, which is the most refined form of this tradition, and he accordingly conveyed his criticisms.
