Abstract (EN)

Nowruz, which is considered the beginning of spring, is celebrated by Turks and Iranians on March 21, when there is equality of day and night in the northern hemisphere, as a spring festival, as well as a New Year's Eve with the old calendar. Although the celebration of Nowruz in all societies differs according to the geography and nation, it is generally associated with the beginning of spring and the revival of nature. Nevruz is not just about the arrival of spring and the revival of nature for Turks. Nevruz is a day that marks the re-emergence of the Turk on the stage of history and the beginning of a new year. In other words, it is the Ergenekon holiday. The fact that it is the Turkish Ergenekon Festival and the "Freedom Day" celebrated by the Turks who melted the Iron Mountain and came out of Ergenekon, means a Second Ergenekon for the world Turks living in captivity from the Adriatic to the China Sea with the disintegration of the Iron Curtain. With this national dimension, Nevruz is the Turkish Freedom and Brotherhood Day. Central Asian Turkic Republics, which have been under Russian hegemony for many years, have been deprived of many national traditions and customs, especially Nevruz. Despite these obstacles, the Turkic Republics, which tried to keep their essence and culture alive, gained these rights with their independence after the collapse of the USSR. Turkmenistan is one of the countries that made Nowruz an official status after their independence. The Turkmens, who changed the name of March as the month of Nevruz, declared 21,22,23 of the month of Nevruz a holiday in the country. After these important decisions, Nevruz is celebrated enthusiastically every year in Turkmenistan and it is the scene of various entertainments. The research has a qualitative design and is structured with phenomenology. During the data collection process, semi-structured interview method was used. The participants of the study consist of 20 Turkish students studying at İnönü University and 20 Turkmenistan students continuing their education at various universities in Turkey. The research consists of five parts. While the first part includes information about the purpose, importance, limitations, assumptions and definitions of the research, in the second part, the conceptual framework related to the research subject is formed and related studies are included. In the third part, information about the method and model of the research, what the study group is, which data collection tools and how the data were collected and how they were analyzed were mentioned in line with the aims and problems of the research. In the fourth part of the study, the findings obtained from the data collected with the qualitative data collection tools are explained by using the tables, while in the fifth, the last part of the research, the results obtained in line with the research findings are included; The results were discussed in line with the relevant findings, and suggestions for researchers were included.
