The criticism of morality, religion and philosophy in Nietzsche

In this study, it has aimed to discuss the criticism Nietzsche, a 19th century philosopher, made against morality, religion, and philosophy. Nietzsche is known by a complete protest he made against the age he lived. He made his mark with the criticism he directed at reasoning of his time, at metaphysical understanding of philosophy history, at settled moral values of the modern world, and at Christianity. According to Nietzsche, humanity, which proceeded on an intellectual route since Plato, turned its back on life by giving more importance on absolute reason. According to Nietzsche, humanity should get rid of this merciless intellectualism disease since reason that had spread to every aspect of life and had been felt in all philosophy history feeds humanity unilaterally and causes humanity to proceed unilaterally. Because humanity is collapsing while it was chasing absolute reality. For him, there will be nothing like absolute reality in a universe that changes constantly. Within this framework, what was left to Nietzsche was to reveal the secrets of the world that we are living in rather than dealing with realities of a transcendental world. Nietzsche defines life as will to power when he was asked what life is and what life means. For Nietzsche, there is desire to be powerful where living things and entities are. What human beings really want is the desire to be more powerful. What makes human beings human beings is this will to power. According to Nietzsche who defined life as will to power, the morality of his time and the values of Christianity were obstacles in front of this will to power. For Nietzsche, if the aim is to live, then this life should be lived by creating values with this will to power and living according to these values. On the other hand, the Christianity tradition and Western Human values defended an understanding which was dominated by pity by featuring the human weaknesses. Such a life sees sorrow valuable, despises body, defends equality, and prefers ordeal for success. On the contrary, Nietzsche embraces the superman, a person who stands against all rancid values of his time, who is good, who makes it possible to go beyond good and evil, and who can create new values.
