In this study, N,N?-dipropionitrile methacrylamide (DPMAAm) monomer was synthesized by the reaction of N,N?-iminodipropionitrile with methacryloyl chloride at 0-5 oC in the presence of triethylamine. The structure of monomer was characterized by, FTIR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectroscopic techiques.Copolymers having various DPMAAm with styrene (St) and p-chloromethylene styrene (ClM-St) contents were prepared in 1,4-dioxane solvent using %1 AIBN as initiator at 70 oC with the conversions below of %10. The copolymer composition were determined by elemental analysis. Monomer reactivity ratios were calculated both Finemann-Ross (F-R) and Kelen-Tüdös (K-T) lineer methods, and a nonlinear error invariable model method with the computer program RREVM. The FTIR, 13C-NMR and 1H-NMR spectra of the copolymers were discussed. The glass transition temperature of polymers were investigated by DSC and also thermal stabilities were studied by TGA.
