Abstract (EN)
In this study, the total amount of atmospheric precipitable water vapor will be calculated using the NOAA-AVHRR satellites thermal satellite.The PW parameter is a variable that affects all ecosystems in the world, such as global warming, atmospheric permeability, atmospheric turbidity, the earth's energy cycle and precipitation.There is only one meteorological station in the Çukurova region which is selected as the study area.In this study, it is aimed to determine empirical coefficients based on long term PW and AVHRR thermal band data to obtain pixel based values of PW variable by using satellite data. For this purpose, raw temperature differences were obtained by calibrating raw AVHRR data.Empirical coefficients were obtained by correlating these data with meteorological station values. In the correlation of data sets, r2, which is the regression coefficient, was found to be 0.797. The obtained coefficients were applied to the 2-year data set to ensure validity and accuracy control.As a result of this control, the correlation coefficient r2 value was found to have a validity value of 0.722. This result means that the empirical coefficients determined for the study region can be used safely for the region.
