Evaluation of the relationship between social media addiction and posture in nurses on duty

This study was conducted in a descriptive and relationship-seeking manner to evaluate the relationship between social media addiction and posture in nurses on duty. The sample size was determined as 80 nurses on duty. The data of the study were collected using the "Evaluation Form", "Beck Depression Inventory", "Social Media Addiction Scale" and "New York Posture Assessment Test". Ethical approval was obtained to conduct the research and data was collected on a voluntary basis. As a result of the study, it was seen that the median age of single nurses was statistically significantly lower (p<0,001). Social media addiction scores were high (p=0,005). Instagram was found to be the most preferred application and Facebook was found to be the least preferred application. The preferences of married and single nurses are statistically similar. It has been found that there is a negative relationship between age and social media addiction score. We believe that it will raise awareness about posture, musculoskeletal disorders and social media addiction.
