Noise mapping on Gaziantep University campus area

Noise is an element that needs to be taken seriously, such as all other environmental pollution, and to be controlled. There are many sources that generate noise both internally and externally. If the noise is not controlled, we will encounter in every area of our daily life and become a factor which will cause constant discomfort. This brings a lot of health problems in a long or short time, constant or instant. Noise pollution is one of important parameters for irregular urbanization. The aim is researching about the noise pollution in Gaziantep University Campus, which is caused by vehicle traffic on highway, and taking precautions. In this study, eight points of Gaziantep University Campus were examined in terms of environmental noise. Based on the vehicle loads on these points, noise map was prepared by using Grid Noise Map technique.
