Abstract (EN)

IASP is defined as an unpleasant sensory and cognitive experience, associated with actual or potential tissue damage, Despite developments in the pathophsiology and treatment of pain, our increasing knowledge end new drugs and complex drug delivery systems that are being used,after surgery many patients are stil sentenced to inadequate treatment for their pain. Postoperative pain, the patient?s physiological and psychological structure, the type of the surgery, the place and time of surgery, postoperative complications, preoperative and postoperative analgesia tecniques and quality of postoperative care are among the factors affecting tens aplication with regard to patient?s safe and the comfort in postoperative analgesic selected method and minimal side effect and maximum benefit of the drug are the most important purpose.Abdominal pain, which occur after normal delivery as a result of uterin contractions, is felt intensely. TENS application with it?s significant advantage of the treatment of postoperative pain is on the agenda. After cesarean and normal delivery analgesic selction shows differences according to other pains. Because analgesic used can cause sedation at mother or pas to baby through breaset feedingAim: We aim to increase usage of tens at analgesia after normal delivery and cesarean. Because there is almost no side affect and its usage is easy and it has low cost.Matherial and method: Two main studying grups are created. First is caserean and the second is normal delivery. Both grups consist of 100 patient as randomized. Cesarean group consist of two subgrup, placebo(Group 1=50 patient), and TENS group (Group 2=50 patient). In the same way, normal delivery consist of two subgroup TENS(Group 3=50 patient) group and plasebo (group 4 50 patient) group. After given pharmocological analgesic, all groups were placed TENS probes. But stimulation was given patient group, it wasn?t given plasebo group. Before placed TENS probes and after aplication period of TENS patient?s VAS and VNS scors and pain levels were determined at both the TENS group and placebo group. Before and after application of TENS changes in pain level was measured as mm and numeric.Findings: We decided that TENS application on cesarean patient and normal delivery, postoperative and postpartum pain treatment are effective. In cesarean group we detected increase in postoperative analgesic requirement at eigthty hour but not normal delivery groupResults: TENS is a effective method and has superior than other analgesic methods in cesarean and normal delivery
