Abstract (EN)

The term population refers to people living in a geography. In order to find out the quality of people, each period has had its own unique censuses. Therefore, the population censuses that existed in every period continued to exist during the Ottoman period. Population censuses have been conducted in the Ottoman Empire since the early periods in order to determine the individuals responsible for paying taxes and the presence of soldiers. The first example of the Ottoman census conducted is the tahrir notebooks. In the dictionary "writing, recording, Book Review, which means" word tahrir Ottoman refers to counts made for the purpose of determining tax for the financial department. XV. and XVI. writing centuries in the Ottoman Empire applied in tahrir XVII. in the century the collapse of the Timar system, the burden of bureaucracy, increase experienced changes in the economic and social spheres, and disruption of public order, for reasons such as jizya to the census idler instead of Tahrir has been started. XIX. by the turn of the century, all the censuses applied in the Ottoman Empire were replaced by population censuses. The first census attempt made in this context was II. It happened during the war against Russia (1826-1828) with the abolition of the Janissary Corps during the reign of Mahmud. After this census, population books were kept in 1831 by conducting censuses in which only the male population was counted for the purpose of recruiting soldiers and collecting taxes. In 1831 censuses situated in one of the areas discussed between the side of Anatolia and Rumelia 110 km. Kirchova kaza is located in a fertile valley surrounded by forested mountains on all sides in the southwest. H. 1248 1262 Kirchova parishes and villages inhabited and linked to the Muslim population belonging to the years of accident data of the books that belong to the head of State has been obtained from presidential archives. The purpose of the study of the provided notebooks is to contribute to population studies by taking into account the Muslim population of the Kirchova accident, which is located near the southeastern borders of the Republic of Macedonia today, using the first Ottoman population data.
