Abstract (EN)

The Crusades cover a period of about two hundred years, between 1096 and 1291. The Crusades, which started with the slogan "Saving the Holy Land", caused great destruction in Anatolia, Syria and Palestine. The Crusaders, who came to the Turkish-Islamic countries with large armies, firstly engaged in a struggle with the Anatolian Seljuk State. As a result of the First Crusade, the Crusader County of Urfa (1098-1144), the Crusader Princepslik of Antioch (1098-1268), the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem (1099-1291), the County of Tripoli (1109-1289) were established. After the Crusader County of Urfa was conquered by İmadeddin Zengi (1127-1146) in 1144, the struggle against the Crusaders continued increasingly. The Zengi family entered the service of the Great Seljuks and later dominated Mosul and Aleppo. As a result of the death of İmadeddin Zengi (1127-1146) two years after the conquest of Urfa, Nûreddin Mahmud b. Zengi (1146-1174) in Aleppo; Nureddin's elder brother, Seyfeddin Gazi (1146-1149), took over the administration in Mosul. Nureddin Mahmud would try to realize İmadeddin Zengi's policy of Islamic unity. Nureddin Mahmud, with the support of Necmeddin Eyyub (date of birth.?-date of death. 9 August 1173) and Şîrkûh, dominated Damascus and its surroundings in the region. As a result of the expeditions to Egypt, Saladin destroyed the Fatimid Caliphate. Saladin was ruling Egypt in the name of Nureddin Mahmud. The seizure of Egypt had narrowed the area of action of the Crusaders in the region. Nureddin Mahmud requested money from Saladin for the expenses incurred during his Egyptian expeditions and stated that the amount sent was not sufficient. Relations between both parties began to deteriorate over time. Even though this is the case, Saladin Ayyubi did not deviate from Nureddin Mahmud's orders until his death. The struggles of Saladin Ayyubi with his uncle Shirkuh for the domination of Egypt are outlined. In this process, which resulted in the abolition of the Fatimid Caliphate in Egypt, Salahaddin Eyyubi and Nureddin Mahmud b. The events that brought the relations between Zengi to the point of deterioration were mentioned. Nureddin Mahmud b. Zengi and Salahaddin Eyyubi had many health institutions, madrasahs, mosques and ribats built in the regions they dominated. Keywords: Crusades, İmadeddin Zengi, Nureddin Mahmud b. Zengi, Saladin Ayyubi. Shirkuh, Necmeddin Eyyub, Fatimids, Egypt
