Evaluating of Prophet Joseph's story in the context of meaning and comment

Abstract (EN)

Prophet Joseph's story is evaluated in the context of meaning and comment in this study. It is mentioned about knowledge that sheds light on first Muslims' life and prophet Joseph's struggle. It is stressed what Muslims understand about this story and how they can interpret it. The events between Joseph and his brothers are reviewed in the context of meaning and comment. It is mentioned about his struggle with the Polytheistic Quraysh tribe. This study is consisted of three chapters. The first Chapter is about reason of Sura's existence, natural environment and Social and Religion structure of Mekka. The second chapter is about prophet Joseph's story his struggle against his relatives and his tribe. His brothers were jealous of him and so they wanted to take revenge. What does this situation mean for the first muslim generation? It is focused on these subjects. It is tried to explain some concepts and appeals about prophet Joseph in the third chapter. In the conclusion part, general and collective explanations were made about the thesis; the story of Yusuf is focused on what it means for the Prophet and the Companions and what messages it gave them.
