Abstract (EN)

MV MODULAR DISTRIBUTION SWITCHBOARD SUMMARY Keywords : MV modular distribution switchboard, Each cubicle is divided in 4 compartments separated by metallic partitions; Control and monitoring compartment, Busbar compartment, Breaking and isolating switchgear compartment, Cable compartment It includes all basic cubicles used to design MV modular switchboards from 7.2 kV up to 36 kV for.Public distribution substations, Delivery substations with low voltage metering, Delivery substations with high voltage metering. Substations in industry or tertiary internal networks. This equipment combines the advantages of breaking in SF6 and insulation in air to guarantee; Personnel safety, Operating safety with high reliability and low maintenance, Reduced dimensions, for installation in small rooms or prefabricated substations. Very flexible in use and when upgrading. This guarantees easy operation of your MV networks. Each cubicle is divided in 4 compartments separated by metallic partitions; Control and monitoring compartment, Busbar compartment, Breaking and isolating switchgear compartment, Cable compartment. Control and monitoring compartment; the size of this compartment varies and it can be used; for the installation of the LV auxiliaries connection terminal block, in case of motorization of the breaking equipment operating device, or for remote control of the switchboard. For the installation of traditional control and monitoring functions for a switchboard with integrated control. It can be fitted with, for example; Static relays or digital relays to facilitate communication, a fault detector and indicator. Busbar compartment; the busbar is made of insulated aluminium or copper tubes, directly connected to the switchgear connecting lugs by captive screws. The compartment is accessed from the front of cubicles by removing a bolted panel, making assembly very easy. After assembly, this compartment requires no maintenance under normal operating conditions. With this type of busbar, switchboards can be extended to the left or right at will, or the layout of switchboards can be easily modified. Breaking and isolating switchgear compartment This compartment contains either, a load break disconnector switch ISR or, an ORTHOFLUOR FP circuit breaker associated with a SF6 rotary disconnector, depending on the type of cubicle used These units can be easily and quickly removed from the cubicle if necessary, thus increasing availability of your MV switchboard. Cable compartment This compartment contains; Earthing switch(es). 3 insulators supporting cable head connection plates and enclosing capacitive dividers. These capacitive dividers are connected to a 3-phase indicator box giving the operator indication about whether or not the cable heads are live. This box is located on the front of the cubicle close to the earthing switch operating hub. Measurement transformers if necessary. All these elemente can be easily removed, and therefore interchanged." xxi
