Özet (EN)

Omentin-1, vaspine, leptin and adiponectin are adipose tissue secreted and obesity-related cytokines. Plasma omentin-1, vaspine, adiponectin levels decrease and leptin level increases in obese and those who develop insulin resistance. In our study, we investigated the levels of omentin-1, leptin, vaspine and adiponectin in obese and non-obese children and whether there is a relationship with insulin resistance. In our study, we investigated the levels of omentin-1, leptin, vaspine and adiponectin in obese and non-obese children and whether there is a relationship with insulin resistance. Our study; Between August 2019 and December 2019, a total of 81 children between the ages of 6 and 17 were admitted to the Pediatric outpatient clinic for additional control. 49 obese and 32 non-obese groups were included, and omentin-1, vaspine, leptin and adiponectin levels and clinical laboratory parameters were compared. As a result of our study; We found omentin-1, leptin and adiponectin levels high in the obese group. We found vaspin levels higher in the control group than the obese group. Although there was no significant correlation between leptin and insulin resistance in the obese group, a positive correlation was found between adiponectin and isnulin resistance, but a negative correlation was found. In terms of groups, significance was determined in terms of AST, triglyceride, HOMA-IR, leptin, omentin-1, vaspine and adiponectin levels. While the levels of AST, triglycerides, HOMA-IR, leptin, omentin-1 and adiponectin were higher in the obese group, the level of vaspin was significantly lower in the obese group. There was no significant correlation between hepatosteatosis grade and our laboratory findings, whereas there was a significant positive correlation between hepatosteatosis and omentin-1, leptin and adiponectin. There may be race, age, genetic factors, and smoking habits. Further research is needed on the relationship of omentin-1, vaspine and adiponectin to obesity in children. Keywords: obesity, omentin-1, vaspine, leptin, adiponectin, insulin resistance
