Abstract (EN)
Obsession is identified by person as the product of his own mind (as oppused to thought insertion) which person try to counting, repressing neutralize by other thought or action, is self disturbing (ego-dystonic), repetitive and insistent all kinds of thouhts, impulses or images, compulsion is involuntary repetitive movements, often made to move away obsessive thoughts from mind or to reduce the troubles caused by this ideas. Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a chronic mental disorder which is characterized by obsessions and compulsions, causing significant deterioration on occupational disability and social activities. Outbursts may accompany near the clinic, triggered by the small provocations. Outbursts of anger may be associated with the rejection of the claims for OCD, interruption OCD rituals or comorbid disorders in addition to OCD symptoms. In this study, we examined sociodemographic characteristics and distribution of comorbid psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents diagnosing OCD, anger level and its association with comorbid disorders. Sample of this study is formed by 11-18 aged children and adolescents, made an application to Karadeniz Technical University, Child and Adoleescens Mental Health and Diseases policlinic which are diagnosed OCD accordind to DSM-V whom intellegence level is normally detected. The control group, selected from the community with non-randomly , is composed of 50 children and adolescents, matched for age and gender group with OCD and had no physical and mental chronic disease. The exclusion criteria from the study in both groups is defined as the presence of literacy to know, that the mental retardation, head trauma, epilepsy and other major neurological disorder. Sociodemografic characteristics was detected using "Semi-Structured Interview Form", comorbid disorders was determined to predicating the DSM-V criteria. The "Child Depression Invantory", "The Screen for Child Anxiety Related Emotional Disorders", '' Yale-Brown Obsessive and compulsive scale for children'',"Maudsley Obsessive-Compulsive Inventory" and ''Anger Scale'' are given child and adolescents. WISC-R or Stanford Binet tests were applied. The differences between two groups were tested using independent sample t-test, Mann Whitney- U test, and chi-square test. All test values were considered significant at p less than 0.05. The results have showed that in OCD group male/female ratio was 3/2. %44 of OCD patients had one obsession, % 56 had multiple obsessions. One compulsion was seen in %28 of OCD patients. The most common obsession was pollution (%46), second was religious obsessions (%22) and thid was the other obsessions (%12). The most common compulsion was washing cleaning compulsions (%40). In OCD group the most common comorbid disorder was anxiety disorder (72%), the second was depressive disorder (32%), which accompanied the tiger to 8% of patients. Depressive disorders and anxiety disorders were most frequently in OCD group than the control group. In OCD group OCD severity scores and anger in scores, trait anger scores and anger in and out scores, anger in scores and anger out scores were positively correlated and trait anger and anger control scores, anger out and anger control scores were negatively correlated. Yale Brown OCD severity scores and depression and anxiety scores and depression scores and anxiety scores werw positively correlated. In OCD group scale scores were not deffer between the age groups and obsession and compulsion types.
