Evaluation of health technologies indicators of OECD countries with multi-criteria decision making techniques

Health Technologies play a key role in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of modern healthcare systems. The prevalance and use of these Technologies directly impacts countries capacity to optimize healthcare. In this context analyzing the differences in health Technologies between OECD countries both contributes to the shaping of health policies and allows international comparisons. This research was conducted to understand the distribution and effects of health Technologies Among öcountries. In the research, health Technologies of 20 countries selected from OECD countries were evaluated using the Analaytical Hierarchy Process(AHP) and TOPSİS, which are multi-criteria-decision-making methods. The data used were taken from the OECD database, and various health Technologies such as computed tomography(CT) devices, magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) units and positron emission tomography(PET) scanners were determined as Criteria. Criterion weights were determined wilh the AHP method, and then the countries were ranked with the TOPSİS method. The results show that Korea ranks first with the highest score in terms of health technologies, while Italy ranks secand. The country with the lowest score was Slovenia. This ranking reflects differences in countrries' healthcare systems and technological infrastructures. The findings emphasize the role that health Technologies play in the health policies of countries and their improving the quality of health services. The findings of the study can guide policy makers for the dissemination ond effective ıse of helth Technologies. Additionally, these results may serve as a basic resource for similar research in future..
