Comparison of OECD member EU countries in terms of health economics

Health economics is a sub-branch of the economy and a field of which importance is increasing nowadays. Since it is a sub-branch of the economy it reveals the economical aspect of health services. In this context, the world health care spendings are being shaped along the line of health economy indicators. Besides health expenditures financing sources and methods are also among the prior issues of the countries.In this research in OECD Member Countries of EU, including high-income group, effectiveness of health status is discussed in terms of demographic, hospital and economical indicators. The USA who is the member of the group and makes the highest health expenditure, Turkey is also within the group and factors that increase health spending are supported by the figures in tables. Besides, the shares of health care expenditures allocated to the public and private sector help to determine health care system of the countries. In addition, through health system models which is one of the key issue of health economics and through general functioning system have been classified changing from country to country. Bismarck, Beveridge, Private Insurance models are examined on the significant representation of the country separately, service delivery and financing types are mainly included.
