Abstract (EN)
The general purpose of this research is to determine the problems encountered in education process in the elementary schools in the regions where internal migration are experienced according to the opinions of administrators, teachers and students (example of Esenyurt). Istanbul is the leading migration-receiving city in our country. It has been thought that this research, performed in Esenyurt which is the most immigrant-receiving districts of Istanbul in the last year, can draw realistic conclusions.By the purpose of collecting data for the research, a five-point likert-type survey has been developed. The survey questions have been prepared in equivalent form by the reason of determining the opinions of the administrators, teachers and students in respect to the educational problems. Expert opinions have been taken for the surveys prepared. The research has been performed in two phases as pre-application and principal application. The pre-application of the survey has been performed at the elementary schools in the immigrant-receiving regions of İstanbul. The principal application has been performed at the 5 elementary schools which are chosen with random-sampling method in Esenyurt District of Istanbul. Data that have been obtained through the surveys applied to students, teachers and administrators, has been tabularized using the appropriate statistical methods and then interpreted.According to the conclusions of the research, the classroom sizes of the elementary schools in the immigrant-receiving regions are being increased fast. This situation is also hindering the teaching the lessons. Because of the immigrant families are encountered financial difficulties so the students have to work. Absenteeism of the working children at the school is being increased and their successes in school are being decreased. One of the most important problems in the immigrant-receiving regions is the communication problem. Also, getting ganged in school and drug addiction are occurring as important disciplinary issues. But being disposed of the students to participate in the activities in and out the school is a good result. In the results of the research, it is seen that there are differences between the opinions of the students, teachers and administrators and these differences are significantly big in students. It has been also examined that whether there is a significant difference in the opinions according to genders of the participants of the research and according to the branches of the teachers and administrators. In accordance with these results, it has been made suggestions for the solution of the problems encountered in the education process in the elementary schools at Esenyurt District. Keywords: Immigration, Education
