Students mathematical thinking in problem solving and problem posi̇ng

In this thesis, student's mathematical thinking in problem solving and problem posing have been studied. In this context, a data collection form has been applied to participants including three problem solving and one problem posing question and solutions have been investigated. The sample of the study has been formed by totaling 450 students including 150 4th, 150 5thand 150 6th graders. Data were analyzed qualitative method. According to the findings of the study; the majority of participants observed were not enough to determine the correct solution strategy and problem solving. The findings of this study in conspicuous gratifying situation areincreased problem solving and problem posing qualifications with increasing grade level.
