Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to analyze the success of students who participated in the PISA application conducted by the OECD in 2018 on behalf of Türkiye. The impact of technology usage habits and information literacy on students' success has also been investigated. Data on test and survey results published by the OECD were used in the study. The test results of a total of 6781 students who participated in the 2018 PISA application were processed by the CRISP-DM workflow cycle in line with the principles of Educational Data Mining. Association rules, which is one of the descriptive data mining methods, were used in data analysis. The results of the research also sought an answer to the question of the effects of the large investments made in educational technologies with some projects on student success in Türkiye recently. It has been observed that the use of technology and informatics tools by students in the high achievement group in the PISA tests applied in three basic disciplines Mathematics, Science, and Reading Skills has a positive impact on their success levels. It is thought that the findings obtained as a result of the study will guide educators and educational administrators regarding the factors that affect students' academic success.
