Investigation of employees' following and using new approaches in technology in preschool education within the scope of learning organizations

The aim of this research is to investi gate situations of pre-school teachers and administrators working in this field in following innovations within the scope of learning organizations. Following innovations and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Competencies were examined in the scope of 21st century skills and innovative school variables. Relational survey method, one of the quantitative research methods, was used for the study. Data were collected from a total of 207 participants, 174 teachers and 33 administrators. For the research, scales named "Pre-service Information and Communication Technology Competencies Scale", "Multidimensional 21st Century Skill Scale" and "Innovative School Scale" were used. It can be concluded from an analysis of the results obtained through this research that teachers and administrators have a positive attitude in terms of ICT competencies and their use of ICT in education and they consider ICT necessary for education. In addition, administrators and teachers have positive attitudes towards "Multidimensional 21st Century Skills". In terms of the innovative school variable, it is concluded that there are organizational barriers in the case of administrators and teachers' following innovations and that the atmosphere in the institution is not innovative. In terms of gender factor of ICT Competencies, 21st Century skills and innovative school variables, men's scores were found to be higher than women in all scales and sub-dimensions. On the other side, when competency status, 21st Century Skills and innovative school variables within the scope of learning organizations were investigated, it was determined that scores of the administrators were higher than those of teachers. According to results of a correlation analysis, there is a positive, significant and strong relationship between the variables. Innovative school area, ICT competence and 21st century skills variables of the teachers and administrators together predict 7% of the total variance. According to the results of the study, it is revealed that it is important to give importance to the in-service learning of teachers and administrators and to follow the innovations in education in terms of organizational learning.
