Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to reveal the opinions about learning disabilities from newly graduated preschool teachers residing in the city of Istanbul. The research was designed by the phenomenological research method from qualitative research methods. Interview questions appropriate to the semi-structured interview technique of the study were prepared and obtained after interviews with 10 volunteer newly graduated preschool teachers. During the collection of the data, the participant information form prepared by the researcher and the Interview Questionnaire with 16 questions were used. The obtained data were analyzed using inductive analysis steps.According to the findings of the research, it was found that the existing information about the learning disabilities of the newly graduated preschool teachers is correct but not enough. Given the fact that early childhood learners are likely to recognize learning disabilities, the scope of the special education course given at the undergraduate level can be extended and the special training period for the teachers during the undergraduate period can be made compulsory in order to increase the existing information. It is thought that the knowledge about the learning disabilities of the preschool teachers can be increased.
