Scale development study of determining teacher candidates' using change pattern

For centuries, character and the effects of character on individuals have been a curiosity subject and many beliefs have been asserted. One of these beliefs is, "People Patterns". People Pattern offers, recognizing individuals and helping them to find the most suitable job for them. And the focus job of this research is "Teaching". Research aims to measure behavioral traits of teacher candidates according to "Change Pattern" which is one of nine "People Patterns". For this reason, the scale(DHKBÖ) prepared by the researcher -with 25 items- was applied to randomly selected 828 teacher candidates at Ahi Evran University, in 2013-2014 educational year. This research is a quantitative research. Also, descriptive and relational data was used in this research. In description process, DHKBÖ was developed and its validity-reliability studies were completed. Before applying the scale, preliminary application was done and according to the expert views, some items were eliminated and the content was figured again. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS 15.0 and LISREL 8.80 package programs. Data was evaluated according to sex, class level and departments of teacher candidates. A meaningful difference was not found according to their sexes and departments. However, it is found that; as their class levels get higher, their "Change Pattern" using levels get lower. This may be related to education system of the faculty and university life. The aim in this research is to present the "true person for the true job" view point and make contribute to teaching job. Research results and suggests are considered to be enlightening and useful for latter studies.
