Investigating the relationship between the attitudes of the preservice teachers towards their professions and teacher self-efficacy levels

Teaching is one of the most sensitive professions in the world where candidates will face various challenges throughout their development. For this reason, besides providing the information to the students, communicating with the school, the students and the parents is not only preparing and preparing the teaching strategies but also managing the class environment appropriately for the purpose of the education. The examination of the literature in this research, the attitude towards the teaching profession, the fulfillment of the basic tasks of the teacher, classroom management, student engagement, and teaching strategies. In this study, data were gathered from 182 teacher formation pre-service teachers. The main purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between the attitudes of pre-service teachers to their profession and the level of teacher self-efficacy. The results show that there is a moderately positive positive relationship between the attitudes of the pre-service teachers towards the teaching profession and the three dimensions of the teacher self-efficacy scale. On the other hand, the results show that there is no statistically meaningful difference in terms of gender and educational level of pre-service teachers in terms of attitude and efficiency in teaching profession.
