Abstract (EN)
The establishment of the culture of democracy in the lives of individuals is directly related to the existence of established democracy in the society. The internalization of democratic attitudes and behaviors prepares the ground for the individual to find his place in every lane, to express himself and ultimately to be happy. The relationship between democracy and happiness should not be ignored, as happy individuals will have a greater willingness to participate and contribute to life. Democracy in educational organizations is important in order to ensure healthy education and training. Individuals and groups who have the power to express themselves can act peacefully and focused on the goals of the system. Since there are as many opinions as there are people, each individual's opinion should be acted upon with the understanding that it is unique and valuable. The aim of this research is; to examine and understand the relation between organizational democracy and organizational opposition in schools according to teachers' views. In this study, relational scanning model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. Scales were used to collect data in the study. For this purpose; "Organizational Democracy Scale" and "Organizational Opposition Scale" and "Personal Information Form" were used to examine the demographic structure together with the scales. The prepared scales were applied between February 2019 and May 2019. Teachers working in public schools in central districts of Konya constitute the universe. With the stratified cluster sampling method, the sample of 1024 teachers was formed. The scales were filled in by 345 teachers at different levels. According to the findings obtained; it has been observed that there is a positive and significant relationship between organizational democracy and organizational opposition. Another important finding is that organizational opposition is an important variable in understanding and explaining organizational democracy. According to statistical proof, the increase in the opposition level causes the perception of democracy to increase. Another issue addressed in the study is the evaluation of teachers' perceptions of organizational democracy and organizational opposition according to the personal information discussed. Research questions tested for this purpose were not accepted, and no significant difference was found.
