Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to investigate instructor pilots? and instructor pilot candidates? attitudes towards the teaching profession by considering different variables. The research group included 140 pilots ? 70 instructor pilots and 70 instructor pilot candidates- who are serving in Turkish Land Forces. The pilots were given ? Attiude Scale Related to Teaching Profession? and ?Personal Information Form? developed by the researcher. The results have been evaluated by Social Sciences Statistical Program (SPSS).According to the results of the research, it is seen that instructor pilots have generally had more positive attitudes towards teaching preofession than instructor pilot candidates and attitudes between candidates and instructors, showed meaningful difference in favor of instructor pilots. Instructor pilots' attitudes connected with teaching profession were observed at level ' I totally agree.' but instructor pilot candidates' were observed at level ' I mostly agree.'.Instructor pilots? attitudes who had instructor pilots who had pedagogic formation more positive than other instructor pilots who didn't have pedagogic formation. Thus, a significant difference in the level of .05 in favor of instructor pilots who had pedagocic formation has been detected in comparison between the instructor pilots who had pedagocic formation and who didn't have concerning their attitudes towards the teaching profession.Findings revealed that 'flying hours of pilots' has an important effect on attitudes towards teaching. Pilots who had more flying hours had more positive attitudes towards teaching. And also seniority has an important effect on attitudes towards teaching.Pilots who had more serving years, had more positive attitudes towards teaching. But, there has no significiant difference in the level of .05 been detected between the groups.
