Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to develop a model proposal for the effective continuation of teachers' professional learning and to determine the effectiveness of the application process. In the study, in which the multi-stage mixed method was adopted, teachers' professional learning needs were identified according to the semi-structured interviews with teachers and teacher educators besides the data obtained with the Professional Learning Scale developed by the researcher. A Professional Learning Model was developed in line with these needs and based on the literature, and then an implementation was carried out to test the effectiveness of this model. In order to test the effectiveness of the Professional Learning Model, an online asynchronous training process was carried out on "Gamification in Education" and the process was completed with 13 participants in 14 weeks. Along with the data such as course analytics, homework, reflection reports, and materials developed from the participants during the training process, data were collected through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews at the end of the process. Based on the opinions of teachers and teacher educators, findings related to the professional learning needs of teachers have been revealed. The Professional Learning Model consists of three dimensions as preparation for professional learning, realization of professional learning and continuation of professional learning, and a total of seven stages within these dimensions. With the data obtained during and the end of the implementation phase, it has been revealed that the model contributes to the professional learning effectively.
