Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study by identifying teachers' views on job satisfaction and the positive psychological capital level, that there is a significant correlation between the views and opinions of teachers to determine whether the facts revealed significant differences according to personal variables. The universe of research with correlative model consists of 290 teachers working in Foça district of İzmir in 2014- 2015 educational year. In the study assessment tool was distributed 167 teachers working in primary, secondary and high schools. As a measurement tool in the research, Job Satisfaction Scale and Positive Psychological Capital Questionnaire were used. In analyzing the data, frequency, percentage, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis and Spearman Rho correlation analysis were performed. According to the results obtained from the study, total view of the teachers' job satisfaction's level is partly disagree. When job satisfaction scores on the subscales of the scale analyzed the highest average is 'reward' and the lowest average is 'promotion'.The teachers opinions on positive psychological capital is "completely agree". Considering the average sub- scale of positive psychological capital scale, the highest score is in 'trust', while the lowest score is in 'optimism'. When the teacher views related to job satisfaction and positive psychological capital were examined by personal variables and significant differences according to gender and education have emerged in the total scale and subscale scores. Age and working hours variables showed significant differences in opinion about the teacher job satisfaction and positive psychological capital. In addition, job satisfaction scale differed according to variables such as education level, branch, faculty, type of school and number of teachers, positive psychological capital scale also differed according to the marital status variable. In terms of teachers' opinions on job satisfaction and positive psychological capital, meaningful relationship doesn't arise between total scales, meaningful variety of relationships are identified among sub-dimensions.
