Examining teachers' attitudes towards occupational HEALTH and safety: Example of central anatolia region

Occupational accidents and occupational diseases in educational institutions; It negatively affects students, teachers, school administrators and auxiliary personnel. For this reason, examining teachers' attitudes towards occupational health and safety is of great importance as it will contribute to the prevention of occupational accidents and occupational diseases, as well as to the formation of occupational health and safety culture. In this thesis, teachers' attitudes towards occupational health and safety were examined. In the research, a descriptive survey model based on quantitative research methods was used. 393 teachers participated in the research. A questionnaire was used to learn the attitudes of the teachers. Research data were obtained by electronic questionnaire. The research data were analyzed with the help of a computer-assisted package program. Reliability analysis, validity analysis, normality analysis, factor analysis and frequency analysis were performed on the data used in the research. In the study, parametric and non-parametric tests were used to find out whether teachers' attitudes towards occupational health and safety differ in terms of variables. As a result of the analysis, the "Cronbach Alpha" safety coefficient of the research scale was found to be "0.968". The "KMO" value for the research sample was found to be "0.961". In the analyzes made; The significance values of all parametric and non-parametric tests were greater than "p>0.05". As a result, it was determined that teachers' attitudes towards occupational health and safety did not differ significantly in terms of demographic variables.
