Research of the relationship between teachers' perceptions of chaotic leadership, organizational alienation and organizational happiness by structural equalition modeling

Happiness of the employees is one of the most substantial factors in sustainability and effectiveness of an organization. It is important to investigate the happiness of teachers who play a key role in the accomplishing mission in educational organizations that develop the future of the countires. In this regard, chaotic leadership and organizational alienation as phenomena that affect organizational happiness are also included in the scope of the research. In this study designed with descriptive scanning and relational scanning model, it is aimed to reveal, examine and explain the relations between teachers' chaotic leadership, organizational alienation and organizational happiness perception with structural equation modeling in terms of various variables. The universe of the research constitutes of the teachers working in the central districts of Sakarya province (Adapazarı-Erenler-Serdivan) in the 2020-2021 academical year. The sample of the research consists of 404 teachers working in public schools and determined by using stratified sampling in the district of Adapazarı, Erenler and Serdivan. The data has been obtained through the Organizational Alienation Scale, the Organizational Happiness Scale and the Chaotic Leadership Scale developed with in the scope of this research. Descriptive statistics, Independent Samples t-Test, One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Structural Equation Modeling have been used in the analysis of the data. According to the findings of the research, it is determined that whereas the perception level of the teachers regarding the chaotic leadership roles of the school principalsis in the form of "Very Agree", the perception of organizational alienation and organizational happinessis "Moderately Agree". It is found that there is no significant difference statistically in terms of gender variable between the teachers' perceptions of chaotic leadership, organizational alienation and organizational happiness. It is determined that there is significant difference among the perceptions of chaotic leadership, organizational alienation and organizational happiness in terms of professional seniority, branch and school type variables, teachers. Besides, it is determined that there is a statistically significant and highly relationship between teachers' chaotic leadership and organizational alienation perceptions in negative aspect, relationship between chaotic leadership and organizational happiness perceptions in positive aspect and relationship between organizational alienation and organizational happiness perceptions in negative aspect. It is found that organizational alienation has a mediating role in the effect of chaotic leadership on organizational happiness regarding the mediating role of organizational alienation, and this mediation effect is in moderate level.
