Determining the teachers' wishes and levels for participating into the school committee decisions

The aim of this research is that: To determine the teacher's wishes and levels who work in the county of Bahçelievler in Istanbul about participating into the School Committee Decisions (The Committee of Teachers), to put out if there is the difference among the teachers 'wishes and levels about participating into the these decisions according to their individual characteristics. The studying space(area) of this research covers 1940 teachers who work in 35 official primary and secondary schools in Bahçelievler (Istanbul). These teachers have been choosen at ran-dom. And a questionnaire has been applied to these teachers by going to the primary and secondary schools which are in the county of Bahcelievler(for 25% of all teachers in every school). These schools' list is in the addition list(it is below). In analyzing the datas, as statistiycal techniques, arithmethical average(mean), standarts device, T-test,variance analysis, TUKEY HSD test were used /applied. The findings/results of these research are : 1. The teachers express that they join in school committee meetings about education-teaching but not about money/monetary issues. And, it is seen that the situation about committee decisions is like that. 2. There is a meaningful difference among the teachers about participating into the decisions taken in the committee meetings. 3. There is a meaningful difference between men( teachers) and women( teachers) for participating into the decisions taken in the meetings. 4. Men(teachers) and women (teachers) both think that they are specialist about their field of study. They think that they have the same education like tehir administrators. And they believe that they will be succesfull when they take responsible in the work they do. Because of these all reasons,they want to join in making decisions about work(School, education, teaching issues...) 5. There is a meaningful difference among teachers by seniority and by graduation(by t heir o wn univ ersities) about p articipating int o t he s chool c ommittee decisions. But, there is no difference among them according to their branchs.
