Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the effect sizes of various variables that affect teachers' perceptions of organizational cynicism by using meta-analysis method. By the studies on this subject in Turkey, in accordance with the inclusion criteria of the meta-analysis, which is about teachers' perceptions of organizational cynicism; 93 for the gender variable; 66 for the seniority variable and 30 for the branch variable, master's theses, doctoral thesis and article studies are included in this scope. The total number of samples among the studies is 40921. Of these, 21103 are female and 19818 are male teachers. In this study, the meta-analysis method, known as the methods of synthesizing research results, was used. As a result of the meta-analysis; In the meta-analysis study conducted according to the gender variable; According to the fixed effects (d=-0.02) and random effects (d=-0.02) model, a statistically insignificant effect size was determined. These effect size values showed that male teachers' perceptions of organizational cynicism were higher than female teachers. As a result of the moderator analysis, the type of publication (p=0.32), the type of school (p=0.99), the level of education (p=0.67), the region where the research was conducted (p=0.77), the title of the teacher (p=0.79). =0.99) and the gender of the researcher (p=0.46), it was determined that the effect sizes of the studies did not differ. In the meta-analysis study conducted according to the seniority variable; A statistically insignificant effect size was determined in favor of teachers between 1-10 years, according to the fixed effects (d=0.05) and random effects (d=0.03) model. These effect size values showed that teachers with a seniority of 1-10 years had higher organizational cynicism perceptions than teachers with a seniority of 10 years or more. As a result of the moderator analysis, the type of publication (p=0.71), the type of school (p=0.83), the level of education (p=0.80), the region where the research was conducted (p=0.58), the title of the teacher (p=0.83). =0.88) and the gender of the researcher (p=0.34), it was determined that the effect sizes of the studies did not differ. In the meta-analysis study conducted according to the branch variable; A statistically significant and insignificant effect size was determined according to the fixed effects (d=-0.06) and random effects (d=-0.07) model in favor of branch teachers. These effect size values showed that branch teachers' perception of organizational cynicism was higher than that of classroom teachers. As a result of the moderator analysis, the type of publication (p=0.87), the type of school (p=0.63), the level of education (p=0.68), the region where the research was conducted (p=0.74), the title of the teacher (p=0.63). = 0.33) and the gender of the researcher (p=0.72), it was determined that the effect sizes of the studies did not differ. According to the meta-regression results made by years, according to the meta-regression results made in terms of gender variable, male teachers' perceptions of organizational cynicism did not change over the years; According to the meta-regression results in terms of seniority variable; In terms of seniority difference, the perception of organizational cynicism decreased by years compared to the teachers with a seniority of 1-10 years compared to the teachers with a seniority of 10 years or more; In terms of the branch variable, it has been observed that the organizational cynicism perceptions of the branch teachers have decreased, albeit a little, in the branch-class difference.
