Abstract (EN)
Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) represents 'the responsible behaviours' which are discretionary behaviours out of their job descriptions. Workers in organizations show Organizational Dissent Behaviours (ODB) which can be taken as political responsible behaviours against the decisions and practices that the workers are not contented. In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between OCB and ODB. 307 teachers working in primary schools in Eskişehir Tepebaşı and Odunpazarı districts, who were reached by random sampling method, participated in this study which was carried out with relational pattern of survey methods. Data were collected through the 'Organizational Citizenship Scale' and 'Organizationa Dissent Scale'. Data were analyzed by SPSS. According to the findings, there is a statistically significant positive relationship between OCB and upward dissent, while a statistically negative relationship between OCB and displaced dissent and it was concluded that there is no relationship between OCB and latent dissent. While there is a statistically difference in the OCB shown by teachers working in Tepebaşı and Odunpazarı districts of Eskişehir according to variable of job tenure; a statistically difference was observed in displaced dissent according to the variables of age, gender and whether or not they had been a manager before. It has been concluded that the increase in teachers' OCB behaviour also increases the level of upward dissent which benefits the organization, and the young teachers take the risk of expressing it with their superiors at a lower level. It was concluded that young teachers should be supported by school administrations to show OCB and ODB as responsible behaviour in schools. Key Words: Organizational citizenship behaviour, Organizational dissent behaviour, Teachers.
