Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed learn the opinions of teachers' towards gifted students. The study was conducted with 541 preschool teachers, primary school teachers (1.,2.,3.,4. grade), secondary school teachers (5., 6., 7., 8. grade) and high school teachers teachers who work in public schools in Eskişehir during the period of second mid term in 2020- 2021 educational year. 246 different chararcteristics is listed and teachers most frequently list having curiosity, being creative, learning rapidly and being extraordinary as the chracteristics of gifted students. Teachers also list some negative cahracteristics such as irritable, being shy, having some relation problems in society. According to the Manova analyses on the perceptions of teachers towards gifted students, there is no significant differences between the relationship of perception, gender and school grades. On the other hand, there is significant differences between teachers according to experience on intellectual situation and imaginary situation. The teachers who has teaching experiences between 11-15 years and 16-20 years have a positive relationship in contrast to the teachers who have 1-5 years experiences.
