Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to put forward the school-family cooperation level in primary schools and activities and problems of it with respect to their social positions. The education, occupation and income levels of the families were taken as the criteria in determining the social positions of the family. Answers of following questions has been sought in the research. About the problems and activities of family-school cooperation: A. a) what are the ideas of teacher-manager group? b) what are the ideas of parents? B. what are the ideas of the parents with respect to their level of a) occupation; b) education; and c) income? Two inquiry forms were developed for parents and teachers-managers as a data collection tool. Common questions were asked to the teacher-manager group. The universe of the research has consisted 10 primary schools randomly chosen from 160 primary schools in Sakarya city. The inquiries were applied to 32 school managers, 101 teacher and 306 parents. Frequency (f), percentage (%), standard deviation (s), arithmetic average (x) were taken in the analysis of data and following results are obtained: 1. It was seen that all groups were satisfying about the visits. 2. There were not seen any serious problems about the manners of the managers- teachers and parents. 3. There were not seen any serious problems about the parents meeting. 4. It was seen that the school-family organizations are not efficient in school-family communication. School was found insufficient about doing written communication.
