Teachers' views on principals' classroom supervision

In this research, it was aimed to explore how school principals supervise classes according to the opinions of the teachers. The research was conducted using descriptive survey model of quantitative research methods. The population of the research consists of 43 primary schools, 34 secondary schools and 14 high schools in Elbistan district of Kahramanmaraş province in 2015-2016 education year and 1826 teachers working in these schools. The sample of the study consisted of 392 teachers selected by stratified sampling method. The data of the research was collected by the data collection tool created by the development of the "Teacher Evaluation Form" given by MEB in 2011 "Teacher Audit Guideline". In the analysis of the data obtained in the study, descriptive statistics, frequency-percentage was used. As a result of the analyzes, school principals supervise classes, according to the dimensions respectively, for "objectives and achievements in the lesson plan"; "cleaning and ventilation of the teaching environment"; "teacher's inclusion of respect in speech and behavior"; "gaining student access to special learning methods"; "motivate students with attention"; and "behaving in accordance with social and professional ethical values".
