Raising children wit the attitude of preschool children of mothers with an examination of the relationship between the child's listening skills

This research was done to investigate the relationship between the listening ability of children and the mother's attitude of raising children. The example groups of research was studied with 47 children whose ages were between 66 months and 78 months in 2015-2016 educational year. The children were students in the ministery of education's nursery school in Esenpınar,Kumkuyu,Limonlu wards in Erdemli in Mersin. Firstly, 120 personal information forms were given to the parents of children and 70 numbers of these forms returned. 47 numbers of the forms ,which had the same specialities , were chosen for being homogeneous. The 47 mothers were the women whose ages were between 23-34. They were farmer and graduated from high school. Their socioeconomis situations were low. The criterion test of parents' attitude was applied to the mothers and the listening ability test was applied to the children of the mothers. The crterion test of parents' attitude had 46 items. The 17 numbers of these items were about democratic attitude, the 9 numbers of these items were about the attitude of giving permission , 9 numbers of these items were about excessively protective attitude and the 11 numbers of these items were about authoritarian attitude. The criterion test of parents' attitude is likert and like this : ALWAYS (5) , USUALLY (4) , SOMETIMES (3) ,RARELY (2) ,NEVER (0). The listening ability test applying to the children was like a map. There were birds, lake, house, forest, castle, dogs, tent, tree, see and ship. The place of start and finish points were showed with a sign of "X". In the test it was controlled that if the children knew the things or not ; if they didn't know the things ,they were thought and wanted to say them again. And also they were wanted to show the pictures of the things while they were saying the things. The person who applied the test had 9 directives about the map and s/he said these directives in turns to the children. The child set up a road on the map according to the directives and s/he finished the test by drawing the map according to the directives. Here, the aim was listening to what was said, understanding what s/he listened, and applying what s/he understood. One point was given for eaach correct drawn road. The children who took 5 points and below accepted failure, who took 6 -7 points accepted succesfull of middling quality, who took 8 points and above accepted succesfull. According to finding of the study , the statistics relationship between the listening ability of children and the lower democratic ,authoritirian,giving permission mothers isn't found.
