The family that children are in from the moment they are born is very important in the growth and development process. Especially mothers who meet all needs directly and indirectly affect the development of children. The parental attitude that mothers hold on to in this development process affects the social, personal and cognitive development of children. This research was conducted as a descriptive study in order to examine the effect of child-rearing attitudes of health personnel mothers with preschool children on children's cognitive development skills. The sample of the study consisted of 102 female health personnel working at Bülent Ecevit University Hospital with preschool children. The data were collected online by filling out the personal information form, parental attitude scale (ABTO) and Marmara Development Scale. In the analysis of the data, the significance was evaluated at least p<0.05 by using complementary statistical methods in SPSS 20 program. In the study, the mental development scores of the children of married mothers showed a significant difference (p<0.05). The democratic attitude of mothers was found to be explanatory in 58.2% of mental development.
