Investigation of the relationship between preschool children psychological resilience levels and peer bullying according to teachers views

This research was carried out to examine the relationship between the psychological resilience levels of children 60 months and older who attend pre-school education and their peer bullying behaviors. In this context, the research was conducted with 366 children aged 60 months and over who attended official primary schools, independent kindergartens and practical kindergartens in Ankara's Yenimahalle district in the 2020-2021 academic year. "General Information Form", "Social Emotional Well-Being and Psychological Resilience Scale for Preschool Children (PERİK)" and "Bully and Victim Child Behaviors Evaluation Form (ZKÇDDF)" were used for data collection in the research. The data obtained were analyzed in the SPSS package program, according to the number of categories of the independent variables, by t-Test and One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The Bonferroni test was used to examine group differences in significant differences. The relationships between the variables were examined with the Pearson Product Moments Correlation Coefficient. As a result of the study, it was seen that the variables of children's age, gender, number of siblings, mother's occupation, duration of pre-school education and school type and some sub-dimensions of the social emotional well-being and psychological resilience scale showed statistically significant differences (p<0.05). It was observed that the variables of age, gender, number of siblings, education level of parents, duration of pre-school education and school type of children and some sub-dimensions of the bully and victim child behavior evaluation form showed a statistically significant difference (p<0.05). In the study, it was also determined that there was a negative significant relationship between children's social emotional well-being and psychological resilience and their peer bullying behaviors.
