Abstract (EN)
Technological developments are increasing rapidly in today's world. People use technological tools that make their lives easier in almost every field in daily life. As a result of the development and increasing widespread use of technological tools and media, preschool children also use technological tools easily. With their visual and auditory features that attract the attention of children, technological tools are found very interesting by children today. In this study, which examines the level of use of technological tools and media applications of children, a survey study was conducted with the parents of children attending kindergartens in Malatya city center in the 2018-2019 academic year. In line with the data obtained from 1247 parents who participated in the study, it was determined that the gender of preschool children did not have an effect on their technological tool use skills, but the practices monitored by media tools differ according to gender. It is among the findings that as the age group increases, children's technological device use skills increase and the level of internet access at home has an effect on children's technological device use skills.
