Abstract (EN)
With the era of information and communication, economic, cultural and political developments have also caused changes in social values, creating gaps in this area. Depending on these gaps, starting from early childhood, all levels of education are attempting to include social values directly and indirectly. The purpose of this research is to examine the social value of children in the preschool period through the perspective of family and teachers. The study group of the research conducted in the basic qualitative research design is composed of teachers, families and children in three kindergartens with different socioeconomic levels in the fall semester of 2017-2018 academic year. Research datas; teacher personal information form, parental personal information form, observation, researcher diary, semi-structured parental interviews and semi-structured teacher interviews. In the analysis of the data, descriptive analysis technique was used and the data obtained from the participants were analyzed in the NVivo 11 package program. Subsequently, findings were defined and interpreted based on research questions. Direct quotations were made to reflect the views of teachers and parents. According to the results of the research; there are also differences among parents of children whose social value gains are at different levels. In giving social values, families have problems that teachers also experience. In this regard, families have anticipatory expectations from the near field, from the media, from the school administration, but there is also a lot of expectation from the parents in the teachers, but there is no job association work that families and teachers have conducted on this issue.
