Abstract (EN)
Peace does not mean that there is no violence and wars. Peace also includes many valueable figüres that contains, solving problems through peaceful ways and raising awareness for theenvironment. With this study, it is aimed to examine through the eyes of preschool children by the peace and elements which are important points for the world. Exposing the current perceptions of preschool children has been seen the most important terms of shaping these perceptions in a positive way. The working group of the research potentials are kindergarten education 6-year-old totally 36 preschool children, by the 2018 – 2019 education academic year – within the Kocaeli – Izmit district. In this study, document analysis and semi-structured interview technique were used from qualitative research methods as data collection tools. The collected data were also analyzed by content analysis and scripture analysis methods. The stages of analysing datas consist of four digits: coding, theme, editing of codes and themes, and interpretation of the results. At the end of the analysis, it is observed by the children, that express with themes of; the peace and elements, interpersonal relations, peaceful solution skills, environmental awareness, actions, people, needs and negative emotions. At the end of the study, it was concluded that the children perceive peace correctly and positively. Based on these results, it may be recommended to carry out peace education programs from preschool in order for children to understand and internalize the value of peace from an early age.
