Abstract (EN)
The study was conducted to investigate the effect of readiness level through "Preparation Education Program for School" implemented on the children between 60 – 72 months In the study, pretest – posttest quasi experimental design with control group was used. The population of the study consists of the children studying at Ege University Medicine Faculty Kindergarten in the education year of 2013 -2014. The sample of the study consists of 44 children assigned through random sampling. "Personal Information Form", "Metropolitan Readiness Test" and "Frostig Visual Perception Test" were used as data collection tools. "Preparation Education Program for School" implemented on the experimental group was applied as activities which lasted for 30 – 40 minutes per day, three days per week in eight weeks. During the implementation stage no program was applied to the control group. In order to determine whether the experimental process is effective or not, frequency and percentage calculation was made on the datum taken from Personal Information Form, while for mean comparison paired sample t test, independent sample t test and Mann Whitney U test were used. In datum analysis significance level was p<.05. According to the results, it was determined that no significant difference was seen among pretest score means in terms of visual perception level and total school maturity ,whereas the difference among post test score means are in favor of experimental group receiving "Preparation Education Program for School" (p<.05). The difference between , Frostig Visual Perception Test and Metropolitan Readiness Test pretest posttest means of the children in experimental and control group was significant for experimental group but not significant for control group. The difference between visual perception scores and school maturity of experimental and control group was not significant regarding the gender variable.
