Özet (EN)

The purpose of this study is to investigate; the effect of physical activity-based games on psychomotor development in preschool education institutions. The universe of this study consists of boys and girls aged 3 to 6 who attend preschool education institutions. The sample of the study consisted of 41 students who were enrolled in Nene Hatun Kindergarten in the town of Acıgöl in the province of Nevşehir during the academic year 2018-2019 and who did not have a disability to attend physical education classes and attend school regularly. In this study, psychomotor developmental differences of 8-week games were examined, and the experimental group was applied with pretest and post-test. In the statistical tests, it was observed that the data were normally distributed as the data were in the range of -1.0 +1.0, based on the Skewness and Kurtosis (skewness) values. Since the data were distributed normally, Independent Sample t-test test was used to find the difference between the two groups as statistical analysis. Dependent Sample t-test was used for pre-test and post-test analyzes. The findings were evaluated at the 5% significance level (0.05) in the 95% confidence interval. As a result of the games played, there were significant differences in vertical jump, long jump, dynamic and static balance, velocity, tennis ball ejection test, paw force and agility tests.
