Examining the relationship between emotional intelligence of 60-72 month old children with regard to their communication with their parents

In this study, it was decided to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence levels of 60-72 month old children who continue preschool education and parent-child communacition within the sample of independent kindergarten and primary school affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in İzmir. Depending on some individual characterstics and variables rlated to families, significant differences will be determined in the relationship between the emotional intelligence levels of 60-72 month-old students who attend preschool education institution and the commucation between mother-father-child communication. This study is in accordance with the relational screening model of 60-72 month-old Preschool children to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence levels and mother- father-child communacition in relation to various variables. The universe of the research is 60-72 months old children and their parents attending the kindergarten of public primary schools and independent kindergartens in the city center of İzmir in the 2018-2019 academic year. The sample of the study consists of at least 250 students and their parents who came to the school on the day of application and voluntarily participated in the application. In the research, to determine the indivudual and family characteristics of parents and children; Personal Information Form, to determine emotional intelligence levels; Sullivan (1999), by improved and Ulutaş (2005) Emotional Intelligence Scale and 48-72 to evaluate the contact with the children of monthly child with parents Arabacı and Ömeroğlu for Children validity and Sullivan with realiabilty study conducted in Turkey (2011) was developed by The Mother-Father-child Communacition Assessment TOOL (ABÇİDA) will be used. The data obtained will be analyzed with SPSS program using appropriate statistical techniques.
