Analysing the relationship between social entrepreneurship levels and problem solving skills of preschool teacher candidates

Abstract (EN)
This study which aims to analyse the correlation between social entrepreneurship levels and problem solving skills of the preschool teacher candidates with various parameters was conducted with correlational survey model. Target population of the study are 27 male 268 female students, a total of 295, of Kütahya Dumlupınar Faculty of Education who are also preschool teacher candidates. The scope of the research makes use of "Social Entrepreneurship Scale for Teacher Candidates", "Problem Solving Skills Perception Scale" and "Demographic Information Form". To measure social entrepreneurship levels of teacher candidates and their problem solving skills descriptive analysis is used; to analyse whether there is a meaningful difference between groups in accordance with every scale and their parameters, independent sample T-test and one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) are used, and to observe the correlation between social entrepreneurship levels and problem solving skills correlation analysis is used. As a result of the study, it has been understood that for social entrepreneurship scores of teacher candidates in accordance to the parameters of gender, age, class, academic success and where their family resides there are meaningful differences; for problem solving skill score in accordance to the parameters of gender, class, academic success, area of residence, where their family resides and educational level of their fathers there are meaningful differences. There is a high level of positive correlation between the concepts of social entrepreneurship and problem solving such as; "Risk Taking" and "Entrepreneurship", "Self Confidence" and "Entrepreneurship", and "Personal Creativity" and "Entrepreneurship". There is a low level of positive correlation between the concepts of the concepts of social entrepreneurship and problem solving such as, between "Risk Taking" with "Impatient" and "Avoidant", "Self Confidence" with "Impatient" and "Avoidant", "Personal Creativity" with "Impatient" and "Avoidant". There is low level negative between the concepts of social entrepreneurship and problem solving such as; "Self Confidence" with "Thinking" and "Evaluator", "Self-Confident" and "Organised"; lastly there is a negative but meaningless correlation between "Self Confidence and "Problem".
