Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to reveal whether the 2013 Pre-School Curriculum achievements include the features that must be found in the acquisitions and to determine whether the acquisitions are suitable for the developmental characteristics of children. In the study, which used survey research, one of the quantitative research methods, the participants consisted of 124 female and 26 male teachers, who were pre-school and child development graduates, who were teaching in public and private kindergartens in Giresun. In order to collect data, an acquisition characteristics questionnaire was prepared by the researcher to evaluate the features that should be found in the acquisitions. Again, the achievement suitability questionnaire, which evaluates the compatibility of the 2013 preschool curriculum achievements with the developmental characteristics of the children, was presented to the participants. The data obtained from the participants were analyzed with the SPSS program. In the research, it was stated that the achievements of the Preschool Curriculum are understandable, accessible, beneficial to children in daily life, consistent with each other, in accordance with the principles of the child-centered approach, suitable for children's learning characteristics, exhibiting integrity within themselves, complementary to each other, learning product-oriented, child behavior. The outcomes were written in the field they are related to and it was revealed that they were about what the child should do during the teaching process. It has been concluded that the achievements take into account the socio-cultural characteristics of the country and that they are for a single feature at a moderate level. It has been determined that the cognitive development domain gains will develop the child's sense of curiosity and form the basis for cognitive activities. It has been stated that the achievements in the field of social emotional development develop children's sense of responsibility, sharing and cooperation, and increase their self-confidence and self-esteem. It has been concluded that the acquisitions in the field of language development will improve the child's ability to understand concepts, listen, speak, use the right word and form sentences in accordance with grammatical rules. It has been revealed that the gains in the field of motor development are of the nature to develop large and small muscle skills in the child. It has been seen that the achievements in the field of self-care development will improve the child's ability to clean, balanced nutrition, daily life, taking precautions related to his health, and protecting himself from danger and accidents. As a result of the examination of the characteristics of the achievements according to the gender variable, it was concluded that there was a significant difference in favor of the female participants, and there was no significant difference according to the age variable, seniority variable and graduate education status variable. It was concluded that the acquisitions in the cognitive, language, social-emotional, motor and self-care development areas in the 2013 Pre-school Curriculum were suitable for the developmental characteristics of the children.
